It’s HOMECOMING week! It’s going to be busy!
Note: Participating in spirit week dress up days is mandatory.
Monday: Practice 3:00-5:15 – Comp Teams
Tuesday: Practice 3:00-4:15 – All squad pep rally practice; 4:15-5:15 – UIL
Wednesday: PSAT Testing Day (students will be dismissed from school after testing is complete, approx 1:30pm). Practice 2:30-4:00 – All squad pep rally practice; 4:00-5:15 – Comp teams
Thursday: Freshman Game, Parade & City Wide Pep Rally.
Dress Up: Surfers vs. Bikers
Practice: Regular 7th period practice
JV Cheers: JV will cheer at the 5:00 game and leave at halftime to go back to the Cheer Shack to quickly get ready for the parade and get on float.
Food: We will have food at the Cheer Shack for all girls to eat before parade
Parade: Starts at 6:30pm at approximately the same place where the 4th of July parade started, but ends in the Chase Bank parking lot.
Community Pep Rally: Immediately following the parade there is a community wide pep rally in the Chase Bank parking lot. Attendance is MANDATORY for all cheerleaders! Girls will be released from the Chase Bank parking lot at the conclusion of the pep rally. We will have someone at the Cheer Shack to open up so the girls can gather their items left there.
JV What to Bring Thursday: Instead of your usual Thursday game day shirt, wear your Surfer vs. Biker outfit to school. Bring your Blue Uniform (shell, skirt, spanks, appropriate sports bra, white no show socks, cheer shoes, white bow and pink or neutral lip color) for the game. Blue & white poms AND pink poms. Parade costume – you will change into parade costumes at the Cheer Shack after the game. Everyone will wear their white cheer shoes for the parade. Sophomores – Barbie box with whatever accessories, if any, you need to complete your ensemble, white Lulu tank and pink shorts. Freshman – Dog onesie, white Lulu tank and black Lulu shorts.
Friday: Homecoming Pep Rally & Game
Dress Up: Spirit Day (anything & everything Mustang/Blue & White. Show your school spirit & pride!)
Homecoming Pep Rally: This is the biggest pep rally of the year! It starts at 3 in the stadium! Parents are welcome! Girls will need to bring their uniform to school with them. They will be released from their 6th period class to change and report to the stadium to warm-up/prepare for the pep rally. Uniform TBA (either black or white. Will be announced through squad chat once final decision is made)
Practice: Since the pep rally is at the end of the day, we will not have practice. Girls will need to be picked up from FHS at the end of the school day.
Game: If JV did not attend the Choir pre-game dinner on 9/30, they need to attend this pre-game dinner (arrive between 5:00-5:15). JV meet at the cheer closet at 5:45 in blue uniform, girls CANNOT wear mums on their uniform.
